3. Confirm Synthesis Strategy

Step 3

When generating synthetic data, it is crucial to ensure that the generated data adheres to the expected semantic types and constraints. Therefore, in the Confirm Synthesis Strategy page, the system displays the semantic types and constraints that were previously assigned to each data attribute or field to allow the user to verify and confirm that they are correct.

For instance, if the user had specified that a particular data attribute should represent a date of birth and set constraints such as minimum and maximum age, then on the Confirm Synthesis Strategy page, the user would be able to see the assigned semantic type ("date of birth") and the constraints (e.g., minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 100).

In summary, the Confirm Synthesis Strategy page is a vital step in the synthetic data generation process, as it allows users to verify that the semantic types and constraints assigned to each data attribute or field are correct before proceeding with the data generation process.

Step 3 - Confirm Job

Here is a description of the buttons found on this page:

Test: The "Test" button allows the user to test the synthetic data generation process and preview a sample of the generated data. When the user clicks on this button, the system generates a preview of the synthetic data based on the assigned semantic types and constraints and displays it on the screen for the user to review. This allows the user to ensure that the generated data is consistent with their expectations and make any necessary adjustments before proceeding with the data generation process.

Discard & Exit: The "Discard & Exit" button allows the user to cancel the synthetic data generation process and exit the Confirm Synthesis Strategy page. When the user clicks on this button, the system discards all changes made to data in Step 1 & Step 2 and closes the page without saving any changes. This button is useful if the user realizes that they made a mistake in the configuration or if they want to start over from scratch.

Submit Job: The "Submit Job" button allows the user to start the synthetic data generation process and submit a job to the system. When the user clicks on this button, the system begins to generate the synthetic data based on the assigned semantic types and constraints and displays a progress indicator or notification to indicate the status of the job. This button is the final step in the data generation process, and once the job is submitted, the user must wait for the system to complete the job and generate the requested data.
